Portland has always been proud of its musical heritage, and one of its crowning jewels for years has been Stephen Malkmus. Formerly of the much-lauded and never overlooked indie band Pavement, Malkmus‘ now focuses his effort in The Jicks. As a fixture in modern music, Malkmus‘ has presided over tours, festivals, and countless hours of home listening both in Portland and around the world.
